Jean Watt, who sadly fell asleep, on the 7th August 2004 aged 64.
Jeannie was a loving and devoted wife to Jimmy for 35 years, mother to Duncan, Ann and Carol. Nana to
Shirley, Amanda and Scott and Great Nana to Ellie-Jean who sadly she did not get to meet.

Jean was diagnosed a brain tumor in 2003, she received an emergency operation to remove some of the
tumor and went through several courses of radio-therapy. But the tumor continued to grow and we all
knew including jean, that the operation and medication would only give us a little bit more time
together.

From the operation we got exactly a year and 6 days with jean before she fell asleep. We all miss her
dearly and think about her everyday. We all love her millions and we will never forget you. A very
special, unique lady who certainly was taken too soon. Good night, god bless. xxx

You were such a special women

Hiya Jean.
You were a lovely lady and like a nana to me,it was so sad too see you go. You know what they say though, God takes all the Good one's first..all the times i'd stay at your house you'd always look after me, i remember we used to take it in turns making the tea.I also remember one year after the bells I came to your house and you said to me, 'hey Lucy, you're our first footer and I went through and said to Carol and Amanda what does she mean? First footer? they just laughed at me, i know what it means now though!! So whenever I hear any one say that, I think of you that special lady that i will never forget. Don't you worry i'm looking out for Amanda, although she does has her head screwed on!! You would of loved all my children, its ashame you didn't get to meet them all. I know you are up there looking down on us all, looking out for every one. here's a little poem for you and goodnite, god bless i'll speak to you very soon..xx xx xx xx

Now that you have gone to sleep
And I try so hard not to weep
Now I know again we'll meet
And until then my memories will keep

As we travel to your graveside
Not far away from home.
It breaks our hearts to think of you resting there alone.
As we kneel beside your graveside, some flowers
are placed with care, you'll never know the heartache,
as we turn and leave you there

In Sympathy

So sorry for your loss. Your story has touched my heart. My nan passed away in July and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. On this site their memory can live on. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless. x

What is Dying?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'

That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.
